January 2013 - Flu Season News
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC), influenza activity continues to increase in the United States. Influenza activity indicators were at the highest levels so far this season in Maryland during the last week of December 2012.
Most of the country is now experiencing high levels of influenza-like-illness. For the week ending on December 29, 2012, twenty-nine states and New York City reported high influenza-like-illness activity up from 16 states the week before.
