Publications

MABE keeps members and the public informed on key education issues through various publications, handbooks, special reports and the website. E-mail alerts and updates are also sent to our members on issues that need immediate attention.

The E-Brief, an electronic newsletter, is provided as a member service. The E-Brief contains association and member news, news from the state and federal levels, and links to news and articles of interest to education leaders.


The Monitor, a summary of the monthly Maryland State Board of Education meeting, is sent electronically and provided as a member service.


The Green Sheet, a legislative update provided weekly during the legislative session, is sent electronically and provided as a member service.


The Annual Report is presented to the membership at the Annual Conference in the fall. The printed copy and the presentation to membership is available. 


The Advocacy Toolkit  is intended to complement board and board member efforts by providing a portable guide to assist in lobbying local, state, and federal officials on behalf of Maryland’s outstanding public schools and students.
