Board/Superintendent Assistant Seminar Series
June 17, 2015 – 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This program is a one day training session exclusively for board/superintendent assistants. Join us for two sessions designed by board assistants to inform and enhance their work.
Parliamentary Procedure – Led by Rochelle Eisenberg, attorney at Pessin Katz Law, PA, this session explores how boards can use parliamentary procedure to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of meetings, as well as what is and is not permissible.
Board Minutes – This session, also led by Rochelle Eisenberg, focuses on how proper board minutes appear, what must be kept, and what is and is not essential. Requirements for closed meetings also will be covered in this important session.

Board/Superintendent Assistant Certificate Program
This is an individualized program designed for board/superintendent assistants who are interested in receiving additional training. The program requires:
Attendance at five sessions which can include the Seminar Series (above), Boardsmanship Academy courses, and MABE and/or NSBA conferences
A project designed to improve the functioning of the board office or documenting board practice in the participant’s school system
Cost: $250.00 (does not include registration at MABE or NSBA conferences)
