Topic: Open Meetings Act (Steve Bounds)

During the 2017 Legislative Session, the Maryland General Assembly passed the Open Meetings Act training requirements for public bodies, including local school boards. As part of these new requirements, at least one member of each local Board of Education must be designated to take a training class on the Open Meetings Act. MABE’s training will focus its Open Meetings Act training on the unique role of local school board members so that you feel confident in your knowledge of and ability to implement the necessary components of the Open Meetings Act.
